THE MEANING OF MAGGIE BY: MEGAN JEAN SOVERN

Product Details"This book is coming out in May 2014"

REVIEW: ****
I usually don't read sad novels, but this one was awesome, amazing, and wonderful! If I had to give an award to a sad and funny story, it would be this one. The author has done a great job of mixing such opposite emotions in a story.  What I love about the main character Maggie is that she is someone all kids can relate to.  She is a typical 11/12 year old who is smart and nerdy.

SUMMARY:

Eleven year old Maggie want to make a difference. She desperately wants to help her dad fix his problem. His big problem is that, in Maggie's words, "her dads legs fall asleep". permanently. his problem is a serious medical disease that Maggie doesn't understand.  This book is a short read about the meaning of her life. And while everything in Maggie's world is falling apart, she finds a way to pull herself together by pulling up her "boot straps" (the family motto) no matter what is going on.  Throughout the book the reader will find out who Maggie really is.
